PIANO LESSONS
Exploring the Studio

Students aged 7 and older in weekly 45-60 minute one-on-one lessons at my home studio, covering practical and theoretical instruction.

An annual recital is available for those who wish to showcase their musical progress, along with a group piano class at the end of each semester.
Achievement in Music Program (AiM)
-
When you sign up for piano lessons, expect personalized attention and a focus on practical music theory. The AIM Exams, an annual event by the Illinois State Music Teachers Association, sees over 3000 students participate, covering 12 levels of theory and performance skills. The exams consist a Theory Exam in October and a Performance Exam in spring, judged non-competitively.

Curriculum

Traditional piano instruction which entails note reading, theory, aural, sight-reading and technique.

Piano Adventures Piano Series and Piano Safari

Writing activities and games incorporated into lessons.

Supplemental pieces to reinforce what is learned in lesson.

Each lesson is designed according to the students' abilities and and changes are made once I become more familiar with their needs.
